scott allison is an american artist working in a variety of mediums creating images derived from his mental landscapes.  the processes he works with greatly impact the overall aesthetic outcome of the final image.  through repeated creative and destructive processes, his paintings and drawings develop in much the same way an actual landscape would in nature but his are meant to represent both the physical and psychological elements of the world as he experiences and internalizes it.  ultimately, scott’s art is a documentary of the evolutionary process of which it is created through organizing elements of imagery with abstract color and textures into his final formal compositions.
